Designed by Michael Luzar, this ultimate off road vehicle concept is named as ‘Neilpryde off-road vehicle’ and has especially been envisioned to give different driving experience for the driver and occupants. As a result, it features a roller-coaster type seating arrangement, where the cabin swings and leans slightly with the driver and occupants when the vehicle is entering corners and driving over hills.


The vehicle has its design elements from the renowned brand Neilpryde, an expert manufacturer of wind surfing, water sport elements and kite surfing. On the other, Neilpryde off-road vehicle has a raised driving position to further enhance this experience and allow for better off-road capabilities. This 4WD vehicle also flaunts double wishbone suspension and integrates special interior and exterior structure that makes it easy to hose down any dirt and mud after driving.

The brain child of TJ Vaninetti, the Ford Xplor concept is an effort by the designer to make the heavy gas-guzzling SUVs soft on the environment. Ford Xplor is an all electric concept designed to run on in-wheel electric motors and features drive-by-wire, accident avoidance system, and a design that surpasses the conventional SUVs as greatest does the least. Also, relocating engines to the wheel hubs has given the designer free rein to the play with the space. As a result, front glass has been extended down to the footwell that gives the passenger better view of the road ahead. Apart from these, the all electric SUV features a unique front bonnet design, reduced mass as well as 33” tires and a full 11” ground clearance, making it ideal safari for off roads and rough terrains.

This amazing chopper is christened as Sgt. Pepper which is acronym for Sergeant Pepper. The 2009 model is custom built by German craftsmen from TGS Motorcycles. With positive and unique design, TGS Motorcycles has built Sgt. Pepper without chromium, filling in almost all metal parts. The bike has a Rev Tech 100 (1638 cm3) engine, TGS frame, Springer fork and Rev Tech 5-speed transmission. The custom built bike also features disc TGS with caliper PM 4-piston brake upfront and K Tech disc-star for the rear wheel. Also, the chopper has TGS 3,5 x18 wheel at the front and TGS 4,25 x18 at the rear.

Electric and hybrid vehicles are ruling the roosts – be it auto shows or otherwise. Joining the race is Schaeffler Grup that has unveiled a hybrid car based on the Opel Corsa. Dubbed the Schaeffler Hybrid, the vehicle is the part of an advance development project that enables a practical comparison of the various options available for mobility to be made.


Schaeffler Hybrid features a volume produced combustion engine from a basic vehicle, a central electric motor and two in-wheel hub motors. The vehicle displays various elements that can be switched on and off, including various vehicle configurations and driving conditions.


The energy store that incorporates a 16 kWh lithium ion battery is charged by means of energy recovery, the range extender as well as via an external power supply (plugin hybrid). The unit has a liquid cooled 50 kW and 95Nm electric motor that was designed and manufactured by Schaeffler subsidiary IDAM. Wheel hub motors were also developed by the Schaeffler Group.


The central unit is flange located to the automated manual transmission by means of a toothed chain and drives the front wheels. The motors that Schaeffler Hybrid is equipped with have an output of around 50 kW each and torque of around 530Nm. The units are also claimed to have appealing torque characteristics as well as a remarkably low noise level.

We recently introduced you to a R/C helicopter with a camera that gives you clear images and videos from the air. And here is another one from Eric Austin, a Texas-based amateur videographer, who modified a hobbyshop helicopter to hold a camera to give close and tight aerial shots. In order to get a more attractive camera angle or better videos that otherwise are missed, Eric hooked Canon 7D DSLR camera to the toy helicopter with a simple tripod style camera screw.



Not only this, but Helicam has been equipped with crash protection gear. The landing grear, covered with a bright pink foam from the “noodles” used in swimming pools, has been built to protect the camera in case of crash or hard landing. The helicopter is remote controlled but one need to adjust the camera setting on the ground. Well, this Helicam may come out to be a handy tool for paparazzo to avoid bruising noses in difficult situations.

The automobile manufacturer turns the most potent super sports car from Maranello, the Ferrari Enzo, into the GEMBALLA MIG-U1 - an individually produced edition, limited to only 25 cars. In the last 27 years, Uwe Gemballa has achieved the best world-wide reputation for refining Porsche cars. The core part of the overall makeover is the entirely re-engineered aerodynamics concept by GEMBALLA. Without any exception, the manufacturer produces all components in real carbon in order to combine lowest weight with highest material strength.

Owing to the active aerodynamics conception, the front spoiler lip generates an additional downthrust of up to 35 kilograms at the front axle, according to the individual position. Analogically, the flap on the newly designed rear spoiler generates even up to 85 kilograms more downthrust on the rear wheels. For optimal handling results, the flap lowers, as soon as the car reaches a speed of 120 km/h. In this way, the GEMBALLA-aerodynamics concept adjusts to the outer conditions and always ensures perfect road holding characteristics. All components of the aerodynamics kit attribute to this: starting from the new front skirt with spoiler lip, over the door extensions to the diffuser and rear spoiler.

The air duct system of the GEMBALLA MIG-U1 does not only help bringing the power of the twelve-cylinder car onto the road. At the same time, the engineers from Leonberg (Baden-Wurttemberg) develop an extensive ventilation- and cooling concept. Here, both the front and the back wheel-houses are supplied with cooling air and this guarantees an optimal use of the high performance braking system. The GEMBALLA car body components therefore guarantee the functionality of the new super sports car and provide the car with a unique look at the same time. Following the design of Formula-1 racing cars, the GEMBALLA MIG-U1 has an extended front and an edged rear spoiler. Formerly rounded edges were replaced in order to provide the car with an aggressive look with greedy air inlets and outlets.

The twelve cylinder engine of the GEMBALLA MIG-U1 works with an optimised motor management and an especially adjusted exhaust system. This combination allows a performance output of 700 hp (515 kW). The four-pipe system with pneumatic flap control is added to the sports catalyser. The end-pipes are equipped with the typical GEMBALLA heat shield and share the exit into the rear skirt with the exhaust ducts of the rear wheel houses.

In the interior, GEMBALLA devises a control centre which perfectly combines functionality and comfort. The especially for the GEMBALLA MIG-U1 designed seats, the custom-made centre console and the sports steering wheel with its leather-ultra suede combination guarantee full control over the car. At the same time,
the interior of this super sports car reflects pure luxury.

Junta homocinética você sabe o que é?

Você pode não saber mais esta peça de nome estranho é uma das maiores responsáveis por fazer seu carro andar.
A junta homocinética serve exatamente para transmitir a força do sistema de transmissão, para as rodas e ao mesmo tempo, permitir que as rodas girem mesmo quando você moda de direção ou passa por buracos.

As juntas homocinéticas atuais têm longa durabilidade, em geral 40 ou 50 mil quilômetros, mas necessitam de alguns cuidados especiais, quando for a um mecânico ou mesmo em um posto de gasolina, é sempre bom dar uma olhada como estão as suas coifas (proteção de borracha sanfonada ligada as rodas), Ela protege a junta homocinética de poeira, chuva e lama. Se a coifa tiver algum problema graxa existente nela perde-se em seu lugar se depositam substâncias abrasivas, reduzindo a durabilidade do conjunto em alguns milhares de quilômetros e obrigando a troca da peça toda.

Como perceber que existe problema no sistema de tração homocinética
Os problemas na homocinética podem ser percebido pelo motorista, tanto com o carro em movimento como em manobras. No primeiro caso, surge um barulho de atrito metálico característico, enquanto no segundo ocorrem estalos. Em ambos os casos, é sinal de que o conjunto está com excesso de folga, e a solução é trocá-lo por um novo.

Existem homocinéticas recondicionadas, que apesar de serem baratas, podem travar provocando sérios acidentes. Existe um processo de recuperação de homocinéticas (remanufaturada) que só é válido se for feito pelo próprio fabricante, que pouco aproveita da junta usada e, pode assim colocar no mercado uma peça com preço 30% menor e com a garantia da fábrica.

Uma solução de emergência, caso se possa intervir logo no primeiro sinal de desgaste, é desmontar a coifa, remover a junta homocinética, limpá-la e trocar a graxa (além de trocar a própria coifa, se estiver estragada). Procure um mecânico de sua confiança, pois sua troca requer ferramentas apropriadas e em geral o custo de sua manutenção não é alto.

Ford edição S1600 do Fiesta

A Ford anuncou o lançamento de uma nova edição especial do Fiesta, que foi denominada S1600, porém ela será exclusiva para o mercado britânico.

A produção será limitada em 650 unidades, e possuirá versão diesel 1.6 TDCi de 90cv e também versão a gasolina 1.6 Ti-VCT de 120cv. E vem com faixas na carroceria pára-choques esportivos e rodas de 16 polegadas e 17 polegadas quando tiver motor dieseu.

Futuramente será disponibilizado um kit de potência desenvolvido pela empresa Mountune, a mesma que desenvolveu o kit de potência para o novo Focus RS.
